Perfect Circle

The awaited return of Alvin Lloyd Alexander Horn's second novel is near. Those who read Brush Strokes are going to go on a much longer intense ride. Tylowe Dandridge has friends who are dealing with; they had love, and lost love, and can they find love again. Sounds like most fictions, but this novel is far from the usual. Perfect Circle will twist you up in knots of drama-filled suspense.

On the campus of East Seattle City University, The Shark Basketball Team is the focus of the university locally and nationally. Even though this upcoming fictional novel seems to have a basketball theme, it really about the behind the scene lives of all the characters. There is much more going on besides the rain in Seattle. The characters in Perfect Circle have to deal with finding love or no love to be found, race relations, interracial dating, mental health, spirituality and the church, hidden truths, and living lies, criminal intent, and criminal acts, backstabbers, and sexual tension, and just good old fashion sex. Well let’s correct that, readers of the Alvin Lloyd Alexander Horn know when the clothes come off, lovers get off in extremely erotic scenes.

The Characters
Ayman Sparks is a successful major college basketball coach, who leads life after an emotionally draining marriage and divorce. He is a serious man that has to interact with many different people with obvious and indiscreet motives. He is opinionated black man in a high profile position, which can lead to confrontation.
The sports media and some administrators don’t support him but his attitude and focus pushes them into a corner, yet he feels the pressure. His moral code helps the young men he coaches, and while missing the love of a woman, the team becomes his family. He has a cool outer persona in how speaks and carries himself. What make him hot, the constant thoughts of the need for the feel and touch and the love of a woman. Is there a woman who complements him? Is there a woman who can get past his defenses? Is he ready for love? Is love ready for him?

Sterlin Baylor is the assistant basketball coach and best friend to Ayman Sparks. The two go back in time to when the main character from Brush Stroke, Tylowe Dandridge all were in college at University of New Mexico, now all three are living Seattle. Sterlin Baylor is serious about being a good assistant coach and good friend, but he is living life as a carefree soul. In that carefree life style, women fall for his good looks and charm.
With so many women, he occasionally confuses the, whom what and where. Sterlin Baylor hopes by telling women he is not a one-woman man that will solve any potential problems. There is always a story for good or bad when a man dates more than one woman, and more so, the kind of women a man bring into his life. Perfect Circle will take you beyond the stereotypical reasons why some men involve miscegenation as a life style. When faced with the same old way of living or a something new comes along. What do most people do?

Lois Mae Ilan has been married twice, divorced once, and then after her second husband’s death, it left her widowed by the age of 40. She is a Literature Professor at East Seattle City University. Lois Mae is well accomplished and classy, but still is a very southern bell from Texas. She is proud and beautiful on the inside and out, even though she is not small woman. She is squeezing into size 18’s in most all she wears, but it doesn’t stop men from breaking their necks on the double take with her extra, voluminous curves. Yet she’s lonely in her effort to find a man who she can give all her heart too. After the drama of a bad marriage and then after the death of her second husband she is starting to look for love on the Internet, and her friends are not helping her with their messy issues. The one thing she misses daily the need for back breaking way out of the square box sex, so a girl got to do what a girl has to do. But wait she’s a good girl. So what’s a sophisticated, intellectual woman to do?

Vanita Irving is sitting in church when her story starts. She is reflecting while starring into the stained glass windows. She is having an emotional time reflecting on her life with a husband who has walked out on her and her left her to be a single parent. Now with her nutmeg brown skin, almost unnoticeable black beauty marks blends well into her mature model beauty, she dose not have a hard time meeting men and men are all around her.
She laughs to herself as she sits in church because she is having love making thoughts. She wonders is she the only woman who has done that. Then her mind wonders about so much more as she has problems that she feels no one else can or will understand. She’s not happy for a number of reasons, but has great friends and a supportive family and has turned to the church for some answers. The happiness she so dearly needs for and her son rests within her opening up to loving herself. Will she love herself enough in order to give the love she has inside for those who could love her?
